James Ibitoye · Product Designer

Turning complexity
into clarity.

A product designer in Toronto. I turn messy systems into products people find simple — and I'm hands-on enough to get them working, not just drawn.

Why work with me
I can take a product end to end.

From early research through to a build you can actually click. A few things I bring to a team:

Grounded in the real world

I pay attention to what people actually use, what they need, and where things break, then bring it back in with research before I design.

Hands-on, not just hand-off

I get ideas into working prototypes — real and clickable, not just mockups — and I speak enough engineering to make handoff smooth.

Multidisciplinary

UX, graphics, 3D, motion, sound, AR and branding. I think about the whole product, not just the screen.

Easy to work with

I like collaborating and being part of a team, and I'm just as happy heads-down on focused, self-directed work.

A product designer who gets hands-on. Sound and motion are where I started, and they still shape how I work.

I trained as an interaction designer, so AR, 3D, and a code editor feel as familiar to me as a research wall of sticky notes. Somnia, my sleep app, grew straight out of my music and creative-coding habit.
